Living Someplace Interesting..

Posted by Abyss Sep. 26, 2007 @ 10:10 AM EDT

Most of the people who browse around Newgrounds live in the USA or in the United Kingdom, which makes us people living in not-so-popular countries all the more interesting.
I've been secretly searching many profiles and I've found some pretty lovely countries, but still, the majority lies within the UK and the US.
Me, I live in Egypt, which sounds quite 'different' to me. The only person I found with a semi-life in Egypt was squidly, who happens to have a house there. Otherwise, I found people from some Central and Eastern European countries, but that's as successful as my search went.

Since I already brought up Egypt, I might as well kill two posts with one stone, and, um, yea, it's pretty okay. Long ago, I recieved a couple of PMs about Egypt, but not so many. So, I might as well answer them while I have this news post.

Egypt can easily be considered an economically undeveloped country, that's overpopulated. Although it looks quite big on the map, all of us are squished into a tiny 4% near the Nile, so yes, we are overpopulated. Egypt also smells. It's not ALL parts that are plastered with pollution, but Down Town Cairo can pretty much be considered a health hazard.
Despite my complaints of Egypt, it certainly has its advantages. What I definitely love about Egypt is that it's wondrously different from anything I've ever seen in my life. <3 It has a culture and history that's widely known and studied around the world, and it is absolutely wonderful if you have a fair amount of money. Huge mansion-like house: 900,000 - 1,000,000 Egyptian pounds. (90,000-100,000 GBP, 300,000-350,000 USD). It has wonderful beaches and resorts across the red sea and also up in the North Coast there's a widely known summer holiday place, especially for young people, and Egypt is packed with beachy places like these. It's also pretty up-to-date with the times, but not really, and the people here are awesomely funny and friendly.

This post is getting too long, so I'll end it here. I might shorten it later depending on how long it turns out. If you do not live in the US or the UK, I'd be ever so grateful if you PM, because I haven't found many of you yet.
